Questions
Short answers about the device.
These notes describe Novubase itself: the chip, the round screen, the phrase, and the company that publishes them.
What is Novubase?
It is a hardware wallet. The physical device holds the private keys for cryptocurrency. The key is created on a chip inside the ceramic body, and each request is shown on the round screen before you confirm it with a button.
Who publishes it?
Infinite Business & Event Solutions, Inc., EIN 77-1934386, at 18062 FM 529 RD STE 205, Cypress, TX 77433. The phone is +1 (281) 564-9011. The public notebook for the device is novubase.com.
Where is the private key created?
On the device. The security chip creates it during setup. The key is not typed in from a laptop and is not copied out for a browser to store.
What do the two buttons do?
The right button confirms the request on the round screen. The left button declines it. If neither is pressed, the chip does not produce a signature.
How is the device powered?
From the USB-C cable. There is no battery to charge and no wireless radio to pair. The device is off when the cable is out.
What if the device is lost?
The 24 words written on paper can restore the key onto a replacement Novubase. Store that paper apart from the device, and not in a photograph or a cloud note. The company will never ask you to read the words out.
What does the round screen show?
During setup it shows the 24-word phrase once. Later it shows the details of a request that arrived over the cable. A home view can show a holding the chip already keeps. A window on the computer is not a substitute for the glass.
How do I ask for a place in the first group?
Use the form at the bottom of the home page or on the contact page. You receive a place number, a short note before the group is called, and a message when it is called.
How do I reach the company?
Email [email protected], call +1 (281) 564-9011, or use the note form on the contact page. Privacy questions go to [email protected].
